Simply Eleonore

Your Typical Sleepy Bi Vegan Intersectional Feminist

Tell Us About Yourself And Your Blog.

My name is Eleonore, I’m 22 years old and I’m French and British. I have a lifestyle blog, and I mainly write about feminism, veganism, mental health, and various LGBTQ+ topics.

If our readers could only read one of your blog posts which one should it be and why?

Wow, that’s a really difficult question, and it took me a while to decide. I think I would say my post ‘Let’s talk about Masturbation’. It sparked some great conversations with both men and women, and I’ve had women message me saying they could relate and that for them too, masturbation was a very taboo topic growing up.

I guess I want people with vulvas to feel comfortable with exploring their body, and that their pleasure is extremely important! But that it’s also okay not to masturbate or have sex; it’s all about the freedom of choice.

How do you stay healthy and fit?

I try to eat a balanced diet, drink a lot of water, sleep for 7-8h every night and walk about 1h a day (when I have uni). However I don’t do any kind of exercise, but I really should!

What is your current diet like?

I’ve been vegan for two and a half years.

What’s the best advice you have received?

I think to stop apologizing for my existence. I’ve always felt guilty for the privileges I have, and it made me an overly apologetic person. I am still working on this, but I’ve also learned to use my voice to speak up, educate and raise awareness. I am learning to use my privileges to make a difference.

How do you motivate yourself?

I am really bad at this. I tend to never have motivation for anything and therefore leave everything till the last minute. However, when I try to find motivation somewhere I think of the people in my life who are really struggling and who manage to do what needs to be done, and I tell myself that I can do it too. They inspire me and give me strength!

What’s your biggest challenge and what do you do to overcome it?

There are many challenges I’ve faced, but I think a big one has been to love and appreciate myself. I’ve learned to put myself first when needed, and to be content with who I am/what I look like. I’ve started only following people on social media who make me feel good and who inspire me (goodbye Kardashians). I follow self-care pages and activists who make me grow and become a better person. Following like-minded people is essential.

Who or what inspired you the most?

There isn’t a specific person who’s inspired me throughout my life, but I realize I have been inspired by many women especially. Family members, friends, and celebrities/activists. There are some men and non-binary people who inspire me as well, but it’s mainly women.

What’s your goal for the next year?

To be accepted at UCL for a masters in audiovisual translation

What’s the best part of your day?

I would say evenings when I am done with uni work. I can cook myself a nice meal, and relax in front of a tv show or read some blogs.

What do you do for fun?

I love watching TV series, reading, writing blog posts, and hanging out with my friends.

I loved reading this interview and to learn more about Eleonore!
I also really liked the post she did on masturbation, it’s unfortunately not a subject that women talk about a lot and I think we should open up more about it.
I’ve just got one more question for Eleonore, 7/8 hours sleep, does it includes your daily naps as well haha?
    Thanks for sharing x
