Like many people I have been binging on social media to stay connected. One thing I’m noticing is that my feeds are full of what I like to call self improvement porn. Almost every day some new exercise or self-learning app announces they are free. The pressure is really on to use this time productively […]

I follow so many awesome people and am a part of lots of health and fitness groups online. I love the day of the week hashtag days, and occasionally I even participate. Recently though, I have really withdrawn and been feeling increasingly negative about myself and my health journey. Today’s #MotivationMonday comes at a great […]
Mindfulness meditation is a great way to reduce stress, find inner peace, improve your mindfulness, and get a better nights sleep. One of the best ways to practice is with guided mindfulness meditation videos. In today’s post I am sharing some of our favorites. I hope that you find them helpful in your practice.
Our modern world is loud, busy, and stressful. It seems like everyone I know is tired and overworked. Studies have shown how stress affects every part of your life. We even wrote a bit about how it can affect brain cognition. Luckily there are several effective ways to relax. I listen to A LOT of podcasts. No really, I currently subscribe to 63 podcasts and I’ll probably add more before the end of the week. There are so many great health can fitness podcasts out there. To be able to access them all, I installed Pocket Casts (I love it and highly recommend it) on December 20th, 2018. Since then, I have listened to 138 hours of podcasts and that doesn’t count the 68 hours that I have saved by speeding up and skipping.
As I write this New Years Resolution season is in full swing and millions of people are trying to change one or more bad habits. As you probably know from experience most of these attempts will fail; trying to change a habit is difficult. There is hope however and I want to share what science says is the best way to change bad habits.
2019 is right around the corner and we are super excited. We published our first post on OthFit way back on September 18th. Since then we have seen slow and steady growth but we want to knock it out of the park in 2019. These New Years Blogging Resolutions should help us do that.
Do you know what it’s like to struggle with good gift ideas? Trust me, it sucks. Now that almost everyone I buy for is an adult it’s just getting harder. Luckily many of my friends and family are into fitness. That’s why I LOVE when my favorite blogs put out their Christmas gift guide.
