I have something embarrassing to share. I snore. It wasn’t always bad but as long as I can remember I’ve snored. For the past 5 years or so Summer has been trying to get me to do something about it. Recently it has gotten so bad that I couldn’t ignore it any longer.

As I write this New Years Resolution season is in full swing and millions of people are trying to change one or more bad habits. As you probably know from experience most of these attempts will fail. There is hope however and I want to share what science says is the best way to change bad habits.
A lot of people are intimidated at the thought of learning yoga. I can totally relate because I was the same way a couple years ago. When you add in the anxiety of doing something new in a public class it is understandable why so many people never take up yoga.
2019 is right around the corner and we are super excited. We published our first post on OthFit way back on September 18th. Since then we have seen slow and steady growth but we want to knock it out of the park in 2019.
I started on the keto diet on March 17th, 2018 and it has been very good to me. I am no longer pre-diabetic, I’ve lost 82 lbs, and my lab markers are greatly improved. It has been so successful that my whole family will be switching to the keto diet after Christmas.

This year, like almost every year since I’ve been on my own, I am making a huge Thanksgiving dinner. My Grandmother was from Texas and her Thanksgiving dinners were simply amazing but they are absolutely loaded with carbs and sugar, you know, the stuff that tastes great! Because I’ve had such success on keto I wanted to adapt her recipes where possible so that my family can enjoy the deliciousness that she passed down to me and I can indulge a bit without derailing my progress.
I always love this time of year. Really, the days between October 31st and February 15th are what I live for. When the weather gets colder and the sky looks sharper I start feeling different inside. Memories of childhood at my grandparents’ farm, falling in love with my husband when we started dating, playing the leaves with our children were all made during the fall and winter and I cherish them.
