    Blogger Interview With Jes Dickerson

Jes Dickersonjesdickerson.com/Twitter Facebook Instagram Pinterest YouTube LinkedIn Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog I am a homeschooling mom of 2 and a certified life coach, speaker, and writer. I came to coaching because I had a lot of life experiences that burned me out – both physically and mentally. Recovering from the burnout was harder than I could ever imagine. Every time I thought I was better, I would be reminded that I was still healing. Recovery is a process. And while my body is healed, the mental health struggles that I overcame are lessons that I will continue to revisit throughout my life. Because of…

My Favorite Health & Fitness Podcasts

I listen to A LOT of podcasts. No really, I currently subscribe to 63 podcasts and I’ll probably add more before the end of the week. Since installing Pocket Casts (I love it and highly recommend it) on December 20th 2018 I have listened to 138 hours of podcasts and that doesn’t count the 68 hours that I have saved by speeding up and skipping. In my newsletter I share my favorite episode from the last week. As I was putting together the finishing touches for this weeks newsletter it occurred to me that I have never shared my favorite podcasts. Of course not all of those 63 podcasts are…

Mostly Healthy Authentic Irish Recipes For St. Patricks Day

St. Patrick’s day is coming up soon so my social media feeds are filling up with pictures of green food. I like normal foods dyed green just about as well as anybody but that isn’t what I think of when I think St. Patrick’s Day. My family has enough Irish on my Mom’s side that I tend towards more authentic Irish foods instead. So I wanted to put together a bunch of great Irish foods that remind me of my Grandma’s cooking. I do want to warn you if you came here looking for healthy foods. Authentic Irish foods aren’t exactly low carb and aren’t really keto friendly. I did…

    Recovery After Hysterectomy

If you follow our blog, you may have noticed that all our recent content has been written by my hard-working husband. I have been MIA since November and I realized tonight that I just needed to make myself sit down and write. It isn’t that I don’t have things I’d love to share, I do. I have just had an emotionally draining few months and I was afraid that once I started writing all of that would pour out and honestly, who would want to read that? I am going to do my best to keep the emotions in check, but this post is going to just catch you up…

    Foam Roller Buyers Guide

If you follow our Twitter account you may know that I hurt my back exercising the other morning. I wasn’t doing anything awesome, just my normal morning routine and just happened to pull a muscle. One of the benefits of getting older. After mentioning it on Twitter both Cynthia Thurlow and @LiftingSoulsFitness suggested foam rolling. I’ll admit to you that I have never used a foam roller and had no idea how to choose one. So I did what I normally do when I don’t know something. I spent an embarrassing amount of time researching foam rollers. After all that research, I figured I would share what I have learned…
